Waiting Game: Quiet Week as Permissions Catch Up with Progress

Date: Week Ending 2 May 2025

It’s been a slower week at Removal’s House as the team awaited Building Control permissions to progress structural works. Key activity included relocating the site office to allow for further drainage excavation toward the road. This move will also facilitate the removal of the existing concrete slab, scheduled once final structural details are approved.

The Department of Infrastructure has advised a potential clash of road closures. DGC has been instructed to coordinate with Manx Utilities to avoid delays to upcoming works.

Meanwhile, deliveries have landed on site for the reinforced concrete wall and Christian Road formwork, which is now ready for pouring. The St. Barnabas formwork has already been completed and awaits its corresponding pour.
