Date: Week Ending 4 November 2024
Progress continued this week at the Claremont Hotel as the hot water tank in the plant room was successfully drained – a key step that now allows final works to be completed in this area. The tank is set to be safely secured on Monday 4th.
Engineer drawings have now been received and are under review. Once approved, the drainage and groundwork contractors at DGC Ltd will recommence work in the Villiers Lane trench. In the meantime, we’ve poured the required 150mm concrete layer to the rear chamber in Zone 2, meeting building control requirements.
Backfilling of the rear lane with MOT-1 sub base is now underway. Once the Villiers Lane connection is made, the yard will be compacted and the concrete slab poured. A road closure extension has been granted until 3 December. Emergency signage has been fitted in line with the agreement.
