Deep Digging Underway: Sewer Trench Reaches Maximum Safe Depth
Date: Week Ending 30 September 2024
Excavation is now underway on Villiers Lane, with trenches stepped and shored to allow safe access to the 225mm main sewer. The initial 1200mm trench has been safely cut and services supported. A further 1200mm will be excavated once trench boxes are installed. DGC Ltd has recorded multiple existing services, including historic unmarked cables, and will highlight these to the DOI. Structural props have been fitted to brace walls and maintain safety throughout. Site remains fully secured.
