The team at Removal’s House has now completed the mass concrete pours at Christian Road and St. Barnabas Hill, key components of the drainage and structural systems. With the reinforced concrete wall foundation now cut and broken, the team awaits final spec and bolt-box layout before pouring can proceed.
Road closures are being carefully managed. While Manx Utilities will not shift their Victoria Road closure, DGC has secured a 5-week Finch Road closure beginning 7 July. The Department of Infrastructure has stated the road must be open by Saturday 16 August regardless of progress.
Planning and Building Control officers visited site this week, with positive feedback on site conditions and compliance. To address slope stability concerns, tote bags filled with compacted material are being installed along the base of the embankment.
